Stay at a Mayo Holiday Home

The third largest county in Ireland boasts some of the best scenery and outdoor activities. Loch Conn is famed for it's trout fishing and at Mayo Holiday Cottages we have unparalleled access to the lake for all the holidaymakers who enjoy to fish.

With Knock Airport less than 40 minutes drive from the properties the holiday homes are centrally located in the county. The local village is Lahardane; a quaint spot with a local shop, post office and two charming pubs which come to life on the weekends. This is about a five minute drive from the properties but we suggest you walk the country lanes instead to take in the breathtaking scenery along with the country feel as the farmers work out in the fields. Both Ballina and Castlebar are 20 minutes drive where you will find all the large stores for anything extra you need during your stay.

Mayo has some of the most beautiful coastline in the world with jagged cliffs carved from the power of the Atlantic Ocean. The area is becoming increasingly popular with surfers and a world competition is held to the north of the county each year.

There are golf courses a plenty too and if you are a fan of a great links course then head to Belmullet which is said to be one of the most majestic courses on the island of Ireland.
